Hazelton Scuba Shop started with a simple conviction: the underwater world is worth protecting, and everyone deserves to experience it — safely, confidently, and with genuine understanding.
Located along the bluffs of Winona, Minnesota, we've grown from a small operations into the region's most trusted dive center. Our instructors don't just check boxes — they build divers. We spend time on the fundamentals because the ocean doesn't forgive carelessness, and we take that seriously.
Whether you're a complete beginner taking your first breath underwater or an experienced diver pursuing specialty certifications, you'll find the same standard here: thorough, patient, and honest instruction.
What we offer
Every course is designed to build real competence — not just a card. You'll leave confident, prepared, and ready to explore.
The gateway to diving. Learn the skills, safety protocols, and confidence to explore reefs, wrecks, and everything below the surface. Typically completed in 3–4 days.
Go deeper. Build five adventure skills — from navigation to deep diving — under the guidance of an experienced instructor. The natural next step after your Open Water.
One-on-one instruction tailored to your pace and goals. Ideal for beginners who want focused attention or divers refining specific skills.
From night diving to underwater photography, our specialty certifications let you pursue the exact type of diving that excites you most.
